“Wonderful”

Were were so lucky to stay at this B&B! Mara and Silvia were gracious hosts, the accommodations were comfortable, clean and beautiful, with attention to detail in every corner. The breakfasts were delicious, filled with homemade goodies and traditional local specialties.
The location is at the top of a quiet street (excepting the church bells next door) in a very picturesque part of Sesto, still close to groceries, an excellent deli, pizza and gelato. We did not have a car and walked everywhere, easy commute to central Florence via bus or train. We stayed in the room at the top of the house (Stella) and were charmed by the exposed beams and the skylights. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Warm and comfortable BnB!”

Our family (Mom, Dad, and 11 year old son) just returned from a wonderful week’s stay at the Terrazza Ginori. Mara, her niece Sylvia and their staff made sure that we were not simply comfortable, but actually felt like we were staying with family. The room was clean, well sized, and decorated with colorful fabrics, restored furniture and artistic touches. The beds were easy to fall asleep in after long days of visiting the sites of nearby Florence. The attached bathroom was spacious by European standards and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. The included Wi-Fi connection was a nice feature to allow us to communicate by email and post pictures of our daily adventures.
Each morning we were greeted for breakfast by Mara and her delicious assortment of fresh-baked traditional Florentine cakes and pastries. The bakery combined with yogurt, cereal, and fresh fruit and of course fantastic coffee was very satisfying and a great start to our day. Mara was very patient with our attempts at speaking Italian as she inquired about our experiences and plans for the day.
For those tourists who would like to visit the Tuscany region, staying at the Terrazza Ginori can be an excellent logistics choice. The BnB is located in Sesto Fiorentino, which is located a very short distance from the airport and Florence. There is a train station in Sesto Fiorentino, which you can use to reach all of the major tourist destinations. We rented a car for our stay, which allowed us true freedom of movement and the ability to enjoy the Italian countryside. Be sure to bring your GPS navigation device or rent one with the car! Parking around the BnB was easily found and after a couple of days we adapted to the Italian driving style (fast and furious). Be sure to pay for the full insurance coverage on your rental car! Mara and Sylvia did an excellent job of staying in touch through email prior to our stay. They helped to coordinate the wire transfer to secure the reservation, provided clear directions and lots of information about the local area and broader tourist destinations like Siena, Pisa, and Via Reggio.
So the final take home message! If you are looking for an affordable, comfortable, and very friendly BnB to call home during your travels we highly recommend the Terrazza Ginori! Many thanks to Mara and Sylvia for making us feel like family! Grazie a tutti!
